Unlike other Who's Who organizations - membership to the distinguished and elite WWAAC Leaders and Legends Awards cannot be purchased. As recipients of the exclusive WWAAC award, Honorees must pass rigid scrutiny, fulfill numerous obligations, and possess outstanding accomplishments. The WWAAC Committee's mission is to pay tribute to these exemplary individuals through an annual awards show. It is the WWAAC Committee's goal to once again include only those distinguished Asian Americans who meet the required standards.
Through a highly scrutinized nomination and selection process, WWAAC Honorees will be chosen for 2008 after meeting the following rigorous criteria:
¨ Applicant must be a legal permanent resident or US citizen of Asian descent in America
¨ Applicant must be at least 21 years of age by December 31, 2008
¨ Applicant must have achieved success in his or her profession
¨ Applicant must have made a significant contribution to the Asian American community in America
¨ Applicant must be an officer or leader of the community or an organization
For over one-hundred-fifty years, Asian Americans have made enormous contributions to the prosperity and success of this great nation. While there are many different Who's Who organizations recognizing outstanding members of our society, very few, if any, focus on the prominent Asian Americans who have been role models for success, great contributors to our community and to the nation, and distinguished figures in their own professions.
